The InduktivCharger enables wireless recharging of vehicles through inductive communication. Vehicles come to a halt on the module and automatically position themselves over the charging coil, allowing charging currents to be self-regulated. These modules are particularly suitable for locations with longer dwell times, such as traffic lights or level crossings. Multiple modules can be interconnected to autonomously guide vehicles to charging positions with upcoming software updates. A control output for the motorized 2/3-way turnout, item 8448, which can also control servos, complements the capabilities. For trucks, the ratio of driving time to charging time is approximately 3 to 1, allowing for virtually unlimited driving time. The InduktivCharger can also switch vehicles with receiver coils on and off. This turnout is equipped with a powerful and low-noise drive featuring secure positioning achieved by a robust 10 mm motor with planetary gear. By rearranging the variable end stops, a left, right, or 3-way diversion can be selectively created. The electronics are housed compactly within the casing. The diverter can be controlled manually, via buttons/switches or our InduktivCharger, item 8408, enabling digital control capabilities. Like the vehicles, the turnout can be comfortably configured in the CarManager.

The module allows the transmission of a variety of commands to CarMotion vehicles via infrared signals. These commands range from simple blinking to deceleration and stopping of CarMotion vehicles, for example in front of traffic lights. The two infrared transmitter diodes can be inconspicuously positioned alongside the road or placed horizontally in a small cut-out in the roadway or roadside. Like the vehicles, the module can be conveniently configured in the CarManager. All macros stored in the vehicles can be invoked by the module, including those that cannot be accessed through magnetic sequences for technical reasons. The two IR LEDs transmit different signals depending on the selected operating mode. One of the numerous applications is precise stopping in front of a traffic light or similar. The first IR LED is positioned some distance before the traffic light and sends the command for gradual deceleration when the traffic light is red. The vehicle then gently comes to a stop on an optional stop magnet (north pole). The second IR LED is located in close proximity to the traffic light and sends the start command when the light is green. The module is directly controlled by the Viessmann traffic light controller, items 5094 or 5095, or the level crossing items 5104 and 510) via the control input. The input also allows control of the module through a switch, relay contact, or DCC switch command using a suitable central control unit. The charger for the trucks and buses of the Viessmann CarMotion system can be powered by any commercially available USB power supply unit or by almost any device such as PC, laptop, power bank etc. With the enclosed cable, the charger can be connected to a USB-A power supply. The charger’s plug just needs to be inserted into the socket underneath the CarMotion vehicle. An empty battery is recharged within 35 minutes. A partially discharged battery requires correspondingly less time to be recharged. The current charging status of the vehicle during the charging process is indicated by the interior lighting of the vehicle flashing in 4 steps.
