Viessmann Modelltechnik was founded in 1988 as a family-run company and manufacturer of high-quality model railway accessories. Since then, we have grown steadily – in product range, expertise and customer base – and have established ourselves as one of the leading suppliers in the model railway and model-making industry.
Our motto, “Innovation that moves”, has been with us from the very beginning. Numerous patents, award-winning products and an impressive variety of items demonstrate our innovative strength. With product lines such as E-Motion, Rail Motion and CarMotion, we have set new standards:
- Moving semaphore signals, barriers and level crossings for highly detailed model railway layouts
- Figures with motion and sound for realistic dioramas

Our range includes over 2,500 products manufactured in Europe. Precision, durability and longevity are at the heart of everything we do – qualities our customers have valued for decades. We offer accessories for the common gauges H0, TT, N, Z and Gauge 0.
A variety of brands under one roof
2010: Acquisition of the traditional brand kibri® – known for over 125 years for its scale buildings, cranes, bridges and specialised vehicles. With kibri, we expanded our portfolio to include functional model construction and rail vehicles, particularly powered specialist vehicles for track construction.
2014: Integration of the Vollmer brand, known for its lovingly designed buildings, bridges and accessory sets. Vollmer’s innovative stonework has become an established element among landscape modellers.
This diversity of brands enables us to offer a unique and comprehensive product portfolio – from beginners to passionate model builders.
