Information about the software update

The Commander as well as all future control units connected to the SpeedBus are suitable for updates. With a computer – at home, at your dealer‘s or in our factory – new software can be loaded. The Viessmann digital system is designed in such a way, that it allows the integration of innovative new devices – even of components, that are not known today.

You'll find the software update packages below. You don't need to install each update package. You can also directly update from version 1.000 up to 1.011.
Notice: All versions from 1.020 and higher need at first the version 1.018!

Update requirements

To update the Commander, you need the following requirements:

• a pc with microsoft windows and microsoft.NET-framework (2.0 or higher)
• a usb-port at your pc
• usb driver for the Commander version 2 (download here). The driver is vista compatible!
• Commander software update package (download below)

Update the Commander

• Switch on the Commander and connect it with the computer (on even) via usb.
• First connection between Commander and pc: Install the usb-driver.
• At the Commander choose "system parameters"
• Start the update mode by clicking on "software update"

Follow the instructions on the Commander and start the Commander software updater on the pc. Read the further informations about the update process in the manual of the Commander.
