The charger for the trucks and buses of the Viessmann CarMotion system can be powered by any commercially available USB power supply unit or by almost any device such as PC, laptop, power bank etc. With the enclosed cable, the charger can be connected to a USB-A power supply. The charger’s plug just needs to be inserted into the socket underneath the CarMotion vehicle. An empty battery is recharged within 35 minutes. A partially discharged battery requires correspondingly less time to be recharged. The current charging status of the vehicle during the charging process is indicated by the interior lighting of the vehicle flashing in 4 steps.

With the programming device you can make various settings as well as software updates on your CarMotion trucks and buses. With an USB cable it is connected to the charging socket of the vehicle and to the USB-A socket of a computer or a hub, adapter or other. The user-friendly operating software communicates with the vehicle, provides information about the charging status, the distance travelled etc. Furthermore, it enables comfortable setting of various vehicle parameters such as speed, active functions, light brightness and many more. In particular, it is used for setting the desired reactions of the vehicles to the commands that can be triggered by the magnet arrangement in the roadway. Moreover, it is easy to copy configurations between vehicles.

The remote control facilitates the control of the CarMotion vehicles on the layout as well as a simple configuration of the vehicle. For this purpose the remote control is directed towards the front part of the vehicle where its infrared sensors are located. Distances larger than 50 cm require a very precise alignment of the remote control with the vehicle. Under favourable conditions a distance of up to 1 m is possible. The device is designed for a local control of the vehicles – driving on sight, so to speak. It can be used to start a vehicle – even from an active stop coil – and to stop it at any time. Furthermore, it is possible to set the vehicle speed and other vehicle functions such as lighting, blinking lights etc. For these basic configurations, it is not necessary to connect the vehicle to the programming device. Moreover, the remote control complements the vehicle control via the magnet arrangement underneath the roadway – thus the user can carry out complex operations and has further options to intervene.

The permanent magnet holder is the ideal solution for testing the CarMotion system. Equipped with one or more magnets, the holder can be flexibly positioned to the right of the roadway. This allows you to precisely verify whether – and at which point – the CarMotion vehicle detects and executes defined control commands. Its sturdy design enables quick setup and easy repositioning during test runs, ensuring accurate results under realistic conditions.

The receiver coil enhances vehicles with inductive charging capabilities and necessary communication. It effortlessly clips onto the transmission block and is connected to the vehicle board through a two-pole plug connection. When used in conjunction with the InduktivCharger, item 8408, it enables unlimited runtime without user intervention. Vehicles can be powered on and off at inductive charging stations. The runtime-to-charging-time ratio is approximately 3:1, depending on system and vehicle conditions. Suitable for all CarMotion system vehicles without built-in receiver coils.Outer dimensions: L 2.4 x W 1.3 x H 0.27 cm

The InduktivCharger enables wireless recharging of vehicles through inductive communication. Vehicles come to a halt on the module and automatically position themselves over the charging coil, allowing charging currents to be self-regulated. These modules are particularly suitable for locations with longer dwell times, such as traffic lights or level crossings. Multiple modules can be interconnected to autonomously guide vehicles to charging positions with upcoming software updates. A control output for the motorized 2/3-way turnout, item 8448, which can also control servos, complements the capabilities. For trucks, the ratio of driving time to charging time is approximately 3 to 1, allowing for virtually unlimited driving time. The InduktivCharger can also switch vehicles with receiver coils on and off. Vehicles need to be retrofitted with the receiver coil, item 8440.Diameter charging coil: 40 mm, diameter electronics: 30 mm, height: 60 mm
