In 1996, Mercedes introduced the ACTROS series in different variants. This vehicle is equipped with an M cab. Like all models of the CarMotion series, it comes with the following functions:
- Charging and programming connection
- Short charging times due to modern lithium polymer batteries
- With a full battery and normal operation with waiting times and various speeds a runtime of approx. 4 – 6 hours, and approx. 2 hours at max. speed/full load is possible.
- Easy on/off switching via a reed contact under the cab‘s roof with magnetic pointing stick or telescopic magnetic bar, item 8410
- Infrared transmitter/receiver for distance control (limited compatibility with other IR systems)
- Realistic braking resp. accelerating action and configurable speed due to speed-controlled motor
- Free cargo area due to underfloor drive unit
- Cabin lighting
- Braking and reversing lights
- Direction indicators right/left and warning lights controllable
- Low beam / high beam light
- Roof beacons (depending on type of vehicle)
- Clear seethrough driver‘s cab with figure
- 5-pole plug-in coupling for the connection of CarMotion trailers or semitrailers
- Compatible with existing systems with contact wire or magnetic tape
- Control by infrared light (IR), permanent magnets item 8431 in the road, electromagnetic stop coils and remote control item 8402
- Even without mechanical guidance a short straight line reverse is possible via steering by the remote control

The InduktivCharger enables wireless recharging of vehicles through inductive communication. Vehicles come to a halt on the module and automatically position themselves over the charging coil, allowing charging currents to be self-regulated. These modules are particularly suitable for locations with longer dwell times, such as traffic lights or level crossings. Multiple modules can be interconnected to autonomously guide vehicles to charging positions with upcoming software updates. A control output for the motorized 2/3-way turnout, item 8448, which can also control servos, complements the capabilities. For trucks, the ratio of driving time to charging time is approximately 3 to 1, allowing for virtually unlimited driving time. The InduktivCharger can also switch vehicles with receiver coils on and off. The module allows the transmission of a variety of commands to CarMotion vehicles via infrared signals. These commands range from simple blinking to deceleration and stopping of CarMotion vehicles, for example in front of traffic lights. The two infrared transmitter diodes can be inconspicuously positioned alongside the road or placed horizontally in a small cut-out in the roadway or roadside. Like the vehicles, the module can be conveniently configured in the CarManager. All macros stored in the vehicles can be invoked by the module, including those that cannot be accessed through magnetic sequences for technical reasons. The two IR LEDs transmit different signals depending on the selected operating mode. One of the numerous applications is precise stopping in front of a traffic light or similar. The first IR LED is positioned some distance before the traffic light and sends the command for gradual deceleration when the traffic light is red. The vehicle then gently comes to a stop on an optional stop magnet (north pole). The second IR LED is located in close proximity to the traffic light and sends the start command when the light is green. The module is directly controlled by the Viessmann traffic light controller, items 5094 or 5095, or the level crossing items 5104 and 510) via the control input. The input also allows control of the module through a switch, relay contact, or DCC switch command using a suitable central control unit. Simple commands can also be generated by turning the module on and off, for example, to send blink commands only when a corresponding turnout is set.Board dimensions with cable outlet: ca.
