Information on battery disposal

The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and do not resell them in the form they were supplied (end users):

1.  Free of charge return of used batteries

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obligated to return used batteries so that they can be properly disposed of. You can drop off used batteries at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries, with our obligation limited to the type of used batteries that we sell or have sold as new batteries in our range. You can either send back used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or drop them off free of charge at the following address:

Viessmann Modelltechnik GmbH
Bahnhofstraße 2a
35116 Hatzfeld-Reddighausen

2. Meaning of battery symbols

M-lleimer-Symbol

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005% mercury by weight, more than 0.002% cadmium by weight, or more than 0.004% lead by weight, the chemical symbol for the specific pollutant used is displayed below the crossed-out bin symbol. “Cd” stands for cadmium, “Pb” stands for lead, and “Hg” stands for mercury.
