In 1996, Mercedes introduced the ACTROS series in different variants. This vehicle is equipped with an M cab. Like all models of the CarMotion series, it comes with the following functions:
- Charging and programming connection
- Short charging times due to modern lithium polymer batteries
- With a full battery and normal operation with waiting times and various speeds a runtime of approx. 4 – 6 hours, and approx. 2 hours at max. speed/full load is possible.
- Easy on/off switching via a reed contact under the cab‘s roof with magnetic pointing stick or telescopic magnetic bar, item 8410
- Infrared transmitter/receiver for distance control (limited compatibility with other IR systems)
- Realistic braking resp. accelerating action and configurable speed due to speed-controlled motor
- Free cargo area due to underfloor drive unit
- Cabin lighting
- Braking and reversing lights
- Direction indicators right/left and warning lights controllable
- Low beam / high beam light
- Roof beacons (depending on type of vehicle)
- Clear seethrough driver‘s cab with figure
- 5-pole plug-in coupling for the connection of CarMotion trailers or semitrailers
- Compatible with existing systems with contact wire or magnetic tape
- Control by infrared light (IR), permanent magnets item 8431 in the road, electromagnetic stop coils and remote control item 8402
- Even without mechanical guidance a short straight line reverse is possible via steering by the remote control

8408 InduktivCharger

The InduktivCharger enables wireless recharging of vehicles through inductive communication. Vehicles come to a halt on the module and automatically position themselves over the charging coil, allowing charging currents to be self-regulated. These modules are particularly suitable for locations with longer dwell times, such as traffic lights or level crossings. Multiple modules can be interconnected to autonomously guide vehicles to charging positions with upcoming software updates. A control output for the motorized 2/3-way turnout, item 8448, which can also control servos, complements the capabilities. For trucks, the ratio of driving time to charging time is approximately 3 to 1, allowing for virtually unlimited driving time. The InduktivCharger can also switch vehicles with receiver coils on and off. The Universal Electronics Truck provides a compact solution for retrofitting vehicles with the proven driving characteristics of CarMotion trucks. The slim module (approx. W 12 x L 26 mm) is particularly suitable for confined installation situations and operates in conjunction with the H0 gear unit with motor, item 8426. Power is supplied through two 60 mAh batteries included in the set. The module is exclusively designed for use with this motor and batteries. An additional distribution board (approx. W 20 x L 7 mm) facilitates the connection of LEDs for lighting tasks and enables additional light effects. An expansion interface for additional modules is available. Included in the set: Reed contact, Hall sensor, charging and programming socket, 2 batteries, rear bumper with lights, IR transmitter, and a trailer connection. This special point machine is a powerful, silent drive with its respective digital decoder for installation in Märklin and Trix C road bed points. The decoder is located in the cable making the drive particularly compact. The point machine stands out for the prototypical slow movement of the point blades. Speed and motion are controlled electronically and ensure a sensitive drive. If – due to the characteristics of your turnout – the direction of the turnout does not fit with the switching direction of the command station, it is possible to set the point motor to reverse mode. The associated decoder is suitable for DC/AC, MM and DCC and is able to send the requested position or the actual position by RailCom to corresponding digital command stations (e. g. Viessmann Commander item 5300/5320). Analogue mode is possible. Additional switching outputs for relays or LEDs and for a conventional feedback and frog polarisation complete the functions of the point machine.
