Prototype: The VW Beetle Type 11, Version 1302, was manufactured from 1970 to 1972. Equipped with a 1600cc four-cylinder boxer engine, it boasted 50 HP. This model introduced a more modern front axle with MacPherson struts and an independent rear suspension with trailing arms. In 1972, the Beetle surpassed the Ford Model T as the world’s most produced car. Model: The CarMotion variant of this series is prepared for the InduktivCharger, item 8408 and features an integrated receiver coil for wireless charging. Approximately 45 – 60 minutes of runtime under normal driving conditions, up to 30 minutes at maximum speed.

The InduktivCharger enables wireless recharging of vehicles through inductive communication. Vehicles come to a halt on the module and automatically position themselves over the charging coil, allowing charging currents to be self-regulated. These modules are particularly suitable for locations with longer dwell times, such as traffic lights or level crossings. Multiple modules can be interconnected to autonomously guide vehicles to charging positions with upcoming software updates. A control output for the motorized 2/3-way turnout, item 8448, which can also control servos, complements the capabilities. For trucks, the ratio of driving time to charging time is approximately 3 to 1, allowing for virtually unlimited driving time. It effortlessly clips onto the transmission block and is connected to the vehicle board through a two-pole plug connection. This turnout is equipped with a powerful and low-noise drive featuring secure positioning achieved by a robust 10 mm motor with planetary gear. By rearranging the variable end stops, a left, right, or 3-way diversion can be selectively created. The electronics are housed compactly within the casing. The diverter can be controlled manually, via buttons/switches or our InduktivCharger, item 8408, enabling digital control capabilities. Like the vehicles, the turnout can be comfortably configured in the CarManager.
