I have spent all weekend and still no success.
I am starting to regret trying to ask for help doing routes if it has offended any one.

I am stuck understanding what to do to automate the route.
Any one able to help ???
I watch the DVD over and over and seem to do the right thing but still no success !

I posted a photo of the layout
I just posted my progress but am still unable to get Automatic on Marklin C track to work with Commander.
I got an ECoS to shuttle Automatically when Red and Green buttons are pressed as they simulate contact track 24995 feedback.
I work on test layout in shop Tuesday to Thursday and on large C track customer layout on Monday and Friday.

I am now building for any Command Station so as to switch if unable to get expected results.
Also able to upgrade in the future if the solution I want is found.

More time and experimenting has gotten an ECoS working in Shuttle Mode.

The ECoS can not (as far as I see) initiate the shuttle. I set speed then enable shuttle.

The Commander looks to be able to start the shuttle and change route and speed on the way.

Am I correct ?
If I don't demonstrate the answer we will be returning the Commander (with regrets) and
using less functional Marklin Central Station.

I am stuck on Automatic routes.
A simple s 88 input trigger and s 88 contact track is all I am asking.

Start with DIAGRAM symbols needed.
See layout photo at first message.

Press GREEN button start train and set turnouts 1 & 2,
passover CONTACT slows train ,
RED button stops.

Watch in ROUTE monitor.

Needed in October before I can deliver customer layout.

I built a passing corner siding with a 24995 control track connected to a Marklin S88 device.

On inputs of s 88 is 1-2 and 5-6 connected two turnout switch pairs.

If I put two trains #72 and #78 on each siding I want to press GREEN button on input 1 or 5 to select which train runs.

Both trains pass over common #18 control track.
Two turnouts are Sw-1 and sw-2 for enter and exit of inside and outside sidings.

Straight goes to outside siding.

So when I press #1 GREEN and
(+ in diagram) sw-1 and sw-2 switch to inside siding.
Train #78 starts at half speed.
Siding should turn YELLOW until train passes #18 sensor(# in diagram).
When it passes over #18 it slows and light goes on.
When I press #2 red it stops and turns off light.

The next route will do same with outside #72 only if #78 is RED.

I can't get the activate and sense in route editor to work.
Also can't get START KEY and DESTINATION to do any input from diagram.

I want to be at ROUTE MONITOR Fully Automatic and start with #1 GREEN.

Any one help with English step by step from factory reset !

All English speaking readers,
I have problems with all the newer technologies at first but that is to be expected.
I find the answers slowly and those members that don't know the answers, language
or in a different time zone need to be respected for those differences.
In the USA there is an unpopular attitude that everyone should speak and write in English
and then they are angry if they buy a non-English product that has limited English support.

Maybe English is the obstacle to the progress that other languages and countries have overcome or avoided.

I am learning to use the Commander :roll: by resetting and starting over and writing the notes about what I know works.
I don't think I will ever expect to see the manuals in English that will contain all that other languages have explained.

I like the Commander and hope to eventually answer all my questions.

I am also trying the same.
All I do to continue is fill in all the red dots even if blank then I press in a blank dot less menu choice After "calibration" choice !

Has anyone figured out what is in the blank dots in this menu ?

I am connected to a simple starter track with separated insulated passing sidings.
The main loop has a feedback section with Marklin 24995 contact track set into 60880 feedback decoder
Also in test layout is a 6017 using booster connections.
The two turnouts have integral decoder and motor

I can't figure how to edit the track diagram to indicate the s88 feedback as displayed in direct mode.
I have the "Referenz - Handbuch" but don't see feedback explained.

Second, is there a PC editor for track diagram or at least a backup utility ?
The target layout is much more complex to risk losing after manual creation.

I tried to run the update on an XP Pro machine and it also is failing.
I am not sure what testing has been done and if it is working outside a finite system requirements.

I don't have confidence that this is going to work and I am hired to make it work.
I have four days invested and need to see results.
What is a known and tested in the USA system requirement.
It may be cheaper and faster to buy a know good laptop !!!

Tried UNINSTALL (Com 6) from SYSTEM HARDWARE DEVICE MANAGER

Unplugged then replugged and no asking for software location but...
Properties of Com 6 FTDI Dated 3/13/08 Version 2.4.6.0

This agrees with the setup information file downloaded !

Has anyone else run XP Home on MACBook Pro with VMware Fusion or other Virtualization software ?

I am using a USA English MACBook Pro Leopard to run XP home using VMWare Fusion.
I can connect USB and see COM6 when Commander is connected running update
but Update 1.0.21 fails to work.

All my efforts are US English and German message translation is by widget and some acquired skill.
Any English help , useful programs or down loadable files greatly appreciated.
